Bangalore: Clad in green to promote environmental awareness, the Royal Challengers Bangalore dealt with aesthetic issues off the field. But on the turf, RCB kicked up some serious heat to snuff out Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the Indian Premier League match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday evening.
Tuskers, plagued by poor shots and erratic running between the wickets, mustered 125 for nine and once Chris Gayle and Tillakaratne Dilshan launched a blistering assault, the host was assured of an emphatic victory.
RCB raced to 128 for one in 13.1 overs. RCB's fifth win on the trot and sixth overall helped move its points tally to 13 from ten games and strengthened its playoff chances. Kochi Tuskers remained at 10 points from 11 matches.
